In previous post we discussed that how scammers try to get each and every penny out of you. They use different tricks and techniques which ultimately entangles us in their web and suck money out of us.

Following are some of the tricks these scammers apply to rip you off:

1. Service Fee (This amount is shown on the checkout page and could be as much as 40% of the product price)

2. Shipping Charges (These charges are applied in case of will call too and the standard of these charges vary from web to web)

3. Markup (This amount could be anything between 20 to 50 % percent and is inclusive in the product price)

4. Instant DISCOUNT (This discount offer pops up once you try to leave the website after checking the final cost. This discount is never more than 5% which means that the profit margin is way higher than this).

5. Secondary market rates (No mention of it anywhere on the site, you will get this information through email and that too when you get too offended on the charges).

6. Brokers’ Share (Since websites are mostly not maintained by the manufacturers of certain product, the broker is bound to have his share)

The last resort

All of these above mentioned additional charges make a product safely 5 times its wholesale price. We do not intend to discourage online shopping, but to let you people know that there are ways to buy things at lower prices. There are many authentic wholesale directories where you can find many reputed wholesalers and suppliers. When dealing with the wholesalers, buying in bulk is much more economical but the price of a single product would still be way less than the amount you would otherwise spend on buying the same product from an indirect source. It is always important to do your research, both market and online, before placing your order. You can also subscribe to newsletters to know the new promotions and offers in advance. Saving time and avoiding hassle is what  all of us want and saving money is not that hard if you know what you are looking for and what your options are. So always, keep your eyes and ears open to avoid every scammer in your way and only buy from legitimate suppliers.
